Sandra Jauregui represents District 41 in the Nevada State Assembly and currently serves as the Majority Leader. A UNLV graduate, she began her public service career working for former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, focusing on foreclosure mitigation and housing assistance. Sandra has led community development initiatives, directed Nevada’s Home Again homeowner relief program, and has been recognized with numerous leadership awards, including Council of State Governments’ 20 Under 40 and Las Vegas Weekly’s 40 Under 40.

A survivor of the 1 October mass shooting, Sandra turned her pain into action and championed Nevada’s comprehensive gun violence prevention laws and a ban on ghost guns.

Outside the legislature, she is active in civic organizations and enjoys hiking.
